The moment you open CardiCalm, it shows the whole idea in a breath — then tells you where to hold it: in your hand, on your chest, in your pocket, or on the mattress. Nothing to read, nothing to watch.
How it works
Many people find their body settles toward a steady rhythm they can feel — the idea behind tactile entrainment.
A heartbeat
The phone's vibration motor recreates a slow, heartbeat-like pulse. Held in your hand or on your chest, your body gradually takes on the calmer rhythm.
Calms the body and mind
A slow, steady pulse gives your breath something calm to follow. Set it slower than your resting heart rate, breathe along, and let a racing mind ease down.
CardiCalm is a wellness aid, not a medical treatment. Its approach draws on research into slow, rhythmic stimulation and slow breathing for relaxation — see, for example, Azevedo et al., 2017 (Scientific Reports) and Haynes et al., 2022 (PLOS ONE).

Questions, answered
Does phone vibration really help you calm down?
Many people find a slow, steady pulse relaxing. Research on slow, rhythmic stimulation and slow breathing suggests it can lower felt tension and help you settle. CardiCalm is designed as a calming aid, not a medical treatment.
What is tactile entrainment?
It's the idea that your body tends to settle toward a steady external rhythm you can feel. CardiCalm gives you a slow, heartbeat-like pulse to breathe and relax along with.
Do I need an internet connection or an account?
No. CardiCalm works offline, needs no account, and collects no personal data — everything runs on your device.
How is it different from a breathing app?
Instead of watching a screen, you feel the rhythm. You can hold the phone in your hand, on your chest, in a pocket, or on the mattress — eyes closed.
Is it safe to use at night or for sleep?
It's designed to help you wind down. CardiCalm is a wellness tool, not a medical device. If you have a pacemaker, a heart-rhythm condition or epilepsy, talk to your doctor first, and don't use it while driving.
Does the vibration feel the same on every phone?
Phone vibration motors differ a lot: some have a precise linear motor, others a rotating one that takes longer to spin up. CardiCalm detects which one it is dealing with and adapts the length of each beat, so it stays a clear double thump instead of blurring into a single buzz. It also measures and corrects the delay between the sound and the vibration so they land together. If your ear says otherwise, you can fine-tune it by hand under Settings → Vibration & sound.
What do I get with Pro?
Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks camera-based pulse measurement (Biosync), the custom wind-down (you set the starting tempo, the target and the duration), breathing modes (4-7-8, box, coherent) and saved presets — yours forever.
Your calm is private
CardiCalm collects no personal data. The camera pulse measurement runs entirely on your device, in real time — nothing is recorded, nothing leaves your phone.

Who makes CardiCalm
CardiCalm is made by Bitagent Kereskedelmi és Szolgáltató Kft. (Hungary), an independent, privacy-first studio. We built it because calming down shouldn't require another subscription, another screen, or another gadget — just a rhythm you can feel. Questions? support@cardicalm.com
